1. Observed Issue: The Experiment name is different from the scanned DAT file name. The problem is intermittent. This issue will occur with Microarray Suite (MAS) in LIMS mode only, when fluidics protocols are stopped and restarted. When the update is applied, the issue is corrected. The name of the experiment and scanned DAT file are the same.
2. Observed Issue: A Dr. Watson error can occur when File / Exit menu control is used to exit MAS 5.0 multiple times. The error only occurs when using MAS 5.0 on Windows 2000 SP2, it does not occur with MAS 5.0 on Windows NT. When the update is applied, the issue is corrected.

Instructions for installing the update

1. MAS 5.0 must be installed on the workstation prior to installing the update. (The update cannot be used to update MAS 4.0.1 or less).
2. The WinZip program to handle zip files must exist on the workstation.
3. Point the web browser to the download link, select and start the download.
4. The downloaded file will be a zip (WinZip) file.
5. Open the zip file.
6. Double click on the Setup.exe file to launch the Install program.
7. The "Install Shield Wizard for the MAS 5.0.1 patch" is displayed. Click 'Next'.
8. Accept the license agreements by clicking 'Yes'.
9. The "Start Copying Files" dialog is displayed. Review the settings and then click 'Next'.
10. The files will get copied to the target folder. This takes a few seconds.
11. The "Install Shield Wizard Complete dialog" is displayed. Click 'Finish'.

The update has now been successfully applied to your workstation.
