The GCOS Client MSDE Patch 1 applies to GCOS
1.0 and GCOS 1.1.1 clients.
GCOS Client MSDE Patch 1 is a Client Patch only.
Please see below for descriptions of the issues addressed in this
patch.
Issues addressed:
Library file installation – An install issue occurs on the
client machine only and is observed only when installing high-density
array library files. The library install fails to populate the GeneInfo
database with the annotations and descriptions for the array. The
error message in the log file is as follows: "ERROR: Failed
to populate temporary tables." The TEMPDB is full and descriptions
do not get populated into the database.
The GCOS MSDE patch 1 corrects this issue. Descriptions and annotations
for high resolution arrays are now able to be installed into the
database.
No password for LIMS3 user on local GCOS Database - The LIMS3 user
account is inadvertently created on the client database by the GCOS
install. This account is intended to be used on a GCOS server, but
not necessary on the local GCOS client that uses the MSDE database.
The GCOS patch 1 deletes the LIMS3 user login from the GCOS database.
