probe pair
On GeneChip® arrays, it is a set of two features representing a portion of a gene sequence. One feature is a perfect match (PM) to the gene sequence; the other feature has a single base mismatch in the middle of the oligonucleotide sequence (MM). The MM aids in determining if hybridization to the PM is specific.
