RNA copy of a protein-coding gene.
Full-length mRNA consists of three parts:

• 5' untranslated region (before start codon)
• coding region (between start and stop codon)
• 3' untranslated region (after stop codon)

mRNA with any or partial of these regions missing is called partial mRNA.
