DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid)
A sequence of billions of nucleotides composed of four bases—adenine, cytosine, thymine and guanine - found in the nucleus of cells; it is the blueprint from which RNA and subsequently, protein is derived. All genetic information is contained within DNA.
