What components should I check before installing the Library file on my local workstation?

It is important to address the following before installing any library files on a local workstation:

  1. Install library files using a local administrator user name and password.
  2. Insure that adequate disk space is available for the three primary library files (.CDF, .CIF, .PSI). Also, check that the temp folder on the local workstation is set to a drive with adequate space
  3. Confirm that MSDE is functioning by checking if probe set descriptions appear in a .CHP file for several array types that are installed (not copied) on the workstation. . If the MSDE is not functioning, please call 1-888-DNA-CHIP.
