Do I need to install GCOS on my desktop computer to run resequencing or mapping data analysis using GTYPE/GSEQ?

Yes. The reason is that GTYPE/GSEQ needs to retrieve .CEL data from the GCOS database to perform analysis. GCOS also provides the benefits of desktop data management to GTYPE/GSEQ users.
