Why can't my favorite GeneChip-compatible™ or third-party analysis package open CHP files created by the Expression Console™ software?
The Expression Console software writes CHP files in the new Affymetrix GeneChip Command Console format by default and most analysis packages are currently reading GCOS-formatted CHP files. By the end of September GeneChip-compatible software providers will read Command Console-formatted CHP files. Note, it is possible under the ANALYSIS->Advanced Expression Configurations menu item to save MAS5.0 CHP files in GCOS format. This is only available for CHP files analyzed with MAS5.0.
