Can I use the GCOS data directly with the Expression Console™ software?
Affymetrix recommends that customers do not use the GCOS data directly with the Expression Console software. We suggest using DTT 1.1 to transfer data out of GCOS in flat files and move the files to a different directory. This will avoid confusion since the CHP files created in EC will not be registered in GCOS. In addition, using the DTT 1.1 flat file method to transfer the data enables users to use any attribute information they may have entered into GCOS during their analysis in EC.
