From where are the SNPs on the Mapping 100K Set selected? |

Half of the 100K's SNPs were selected from validated portion of dbSNP. The other half are from the proprietary SNP database developed by Perlegen Sciences. The SNPs from Perlegen on the Mapping 100K Set were deposited into the dbSNP database. The SNPs on the arrays were validated in over 350 individuals from multiple ethnic groups. |
