Can the CustomSeq™ array detect heterozygotes? |

Yes, CustomSeq™ arrays are able to detect heterozygote SNPs. The sample will hybridize to two of the four features on the array and the algorithm will report the call as an IUPAC code (IUPAC is the international naming convention for sequence that provides a single letter designation for every haploid call, e.g., A=A/A, w=A/G het). The software also provides a genome viewer with the homozygote and heterozygote SNPs color coded for quick visualization. |
