Yes. There have been several publications showing that the Mapping arrays can be highly effective for studying allelic imbalance. They can detect chromosomal amplification, deletion, and genotyping information in one experiment, allowing greater understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying loss of heterozygosity events. The GeneChip® Chromosome Copy Number Tool is software freely available on the Affymetrix Tools page to enable these studies. |
