What is the Command Console Workgroup?
The workgroup version of Command Console supports the same functionality as the standalone version. It also supports remote browser access from Windows, Linux or Mac platforms via its backend Microsoft IIS server. Through this remote access, users gain access to the non-instrument control functionalities available from the Command Console portal. With workgroup, it is also possible to utilize network-attached storage devices and to synchronize data across multiple workstations by accessing data from a centralized storage device. Finally, the use of Microsoft IIS also adds a secondary level of access rights to the data.
