How are CHP files created from Command Console CEL files?
Command Console itself does not create CHP files. Instead, Affymetrix offers software tools specific to the various array applications:
Expression
3' Expression Arrays: A new tool from Affymetrix called Expression Console is available for writing CHP files for 3' expression arrays.
Exon Arrays: A new tool from Affymetrix called Expression Console is available for writing CHP files for exon arrays for both gene- and exon-level analysis.
Tiling Arrays: Affymetrix Tiling Analysis Software (TAS) is available for reading and writing Command Console-compatible CHP files.
DNA
Whole Genome, Targeted Genotyping, Sequence Analysis and Copy Number: Genotyping Console is available for writing CHP files for SNP Arrays 5.0 and 6.0. Timelines for releasing Command Console CHP readers and writers for copy number, DNA-targeted genotyping, and DNA-sequence analysis are currently being finalized and will be available soon.
