How is data converted from GCOS format to Command Console format and vice versa?

Data can be converted in either direction using Data Exchange Console (DEC), which is distributed with Command Console Software.

To move data from GCOS formats to Command Console formats, data can be input using a GCOS instance, a DTT archive, or GCOS flat files. Original GCOS data are not altered or deleted.

To convert data in Command Console format back to GCOS format, DEC creates a DTT archive that can be imported into GCOS using Data Transfer Tool (DTT).
