Blood Sample Processing

What cRNA yield can I expect if the globin reduction protocol is performed?

When starting the globin reduction procedure with 5μg of concentrated PAXgene RNA according to the Affymetrix "GeneChip Globin Reduction Kit Handbook", the cRNA yield for healthy donors is usually at least 40μg. This is sufficient for both qualitative and quantitative cRNA analysis as well as for a duplicate GeneChip analysis. However, the expected cRNA yield with the globin reduction procedure can be up to 50% lower than without globin reduction.
