The GeneChip® Drosophila Tiling 2.0R Array is Affymetrix' second-generation Drosophila Tiling Array. GeneChip Drosophila Tiling Arrays are versatile, whole-genome tools that researchers have successfully used to map novel areas of transcription and to interpret chromatin IP results on a genome-wide level.
The Drosophila Tiling 2.0R Array builds on the content of its predecessor and includes additional sequences that have since become available through the Berkeley Drosophila Genome Project (BDGP). The majority of the new sequences are located in the heterochromatin regions of the Drosophila genome.
