The Expression DesignChecker™ is a software tool to help prepare files for submission to design a custom array.

Please review the minimum System Requirements for running the Expression DesignChecker application.

In addition, the application requires Java Web Start. Java Web Start is bundled with Java 2 Runtime Environment version 1.4.2, which can be obtained through any of the links below:

•		Windows
•		Linux
•		Mac (available only for Mac OS X)

Before you begin, be sure to have the following ready:

•		Sequence and instruction files (Required only for adding your own unique content in which Affymetrix will be selecting probes)
•		Probe Set Request file (Required only for adding content from commercial GeneChip arrays)
•		Pruning files (Not required for commercial content. Optional for unique content)
•		GeneChip CustomExpress™ Array Design Guide (pdf, 268 KB) reviewed and handy for reference

Once Java WebStart is installed and you have confirmed that your system meets the minimum system requirements, download and run the Expression DesignChecker application.
