GeneChip®Tomato Genome Arrayは、トマト（Lycopersicon esculentum）の遺伝子発現をモニターするために特別にデザインされています。この広範なアレイには、10,000を超えるL. esculentumプローブセットが含まれており、これは9,200以上のL. esculentumの転写産物を調べることができます。Tomato Genome Arrayは、トマトの遺伝学を研究する農学研究者にとって特に役立つツールです。

このアレイは、Affymetrix GeneChip® Consortia Programの一環として、トマトの主要な研究者とアフィメトリクス社との共同研究により作製され、Lycopersicon esculentum UniGene Build #20 (2004年10月3日)とGenBank® mRNA（2004年11月5日まで）のデータベースを基にデザインされました。
