Human Genome U133 (HG-U133) Setは、AアレイとBアレイに合計約45,000個のプローブセットが搭載されています。これら2枚のアレイで、約33,000のヒト遺伝子を由来とする、約39,000個の転写産物が解析可能です。このセットのデザインには、GenBank®、dbEST、RefSeq.から選定した塩基配列が使用されています。

シークエンスのクラスターは、UniGeneデータベース(Build 133, 2001年4月20日)をもとに作製されておりますが、その他の入手可能な多数の公開されているデータベースとの比較や解析により、さらに精度が高められています。データベースとしては、ワシントン大学EST trace repository、カリフォルニア大学サンタクルーズ校Golden Path ヒトゲノムデータベース(2001年4月公開)などが使用されました。

HG-U133Aアレイには、RefSeqデータベースの塩基配列と、Human Genome U95Av2 Array上に搭載されていたシークエンスに関連するプローブセットが含まれています。HG-U133Bアレイには、主としてESTクラスターのプローブセットが含まれています。
