Introduction, Goals and Overview (pdf, 85 KB) This section of the curriculum focuses on the overall teaching goals of the various modules and activities. High School Standards Connection (pdf, 98 KB) Specifically tied to the National Science Education Standards (NSES) for the Science Content Standards for grades 9-12, this curriculum will also satisfy most state-level science standards including those focused on "science inquiry" standards, the "place of science in society" standards and the "ethical nature of scientific discoveries" standards. Teacher's Guide (pdf, 531 KB) The teacher's guide contains helpful hints for each activity including possible content and length adjustments to help make the activity fit into your lesson plan. Student Manual The student manual includes 5 independent activities that stress different aspects of microarray technology and the application of genetics to society. This section also contains a DNA-basics refresher and a genetics glossary.
