Q.
Can I use Internet telephony to hear the WebTalk?
A. Yes, Internet Phone is an
available option. (This is also known as Internet telephony or VOIP
- Voice over IP.) To use Internet Phone, ensure that your computer
has the following:
When you log in to the meeting, you will see Join Internet Phone
Dialog Box. Click Yes to hear the presentation via VoIP. Note: If you do not have all of the above or are not comfortable
using Voice over IP, you should dial-in through a traditional conference
call line. You will be provided with a dial-in number within your
confirmation e-mail.
Q.
How will I know how to log in the day of the meeting?
A.
At least 72 hours before the meeting, you will receive a confirmation
e-mail with dial-in instructions including passwords, links and phone
numbers to guide you through the log in process.
We recommend you check your set-up at least 24 hours prior to the
meeting to give you enough time to address any technical problems
you may encounter.
Q.
Sometimes images do not look clear and sharp. Why?
A.
As an attendee, you may see degradation in the quality of some images
as the WebEx compression algorithm automatically compensates for slow
connections. This is particularly noticeable on slow connections in
a Web Tour.
Q.
Why do I sometimes see a yellow crosshatched grid showing in application
sharing?
A.
This is a shadow caused by a dialog or window appearing in front of
the shared application on the Presenter's system. Once the presenter
closes the dialog or window in front of the application, this will
go away.
Q.
What if I register for and then miss the WebTalk?
A.
We will post a recorded copy of the presentation including audio within
one week of every event. To view/hear past WebTalks go to: http://www.affymetrix.com/corporate/events/archive.affx.
Remember, you will need speakers in order to hear the presentation.
Q.
Who can I contact if I do not receive an e-mail confirmation/participation
instructions at least 72 hours before the event?
A.
You may send an e-mail to webmaster@affymetrix.com.
If you need to contact us the day of the event, note that we will
not be able to respond immediately, due to the fact that we are in
another location managing the WebTalk.
