This year, we are pleased to offer a one-day short course on data analysis and interpretation for GeneChip® Expression and Genotyping Applications:

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will be a combination of lecture, demonstrations, and discussion. The course will be led by Affymetrix scientists and Field Application Specialists. The course also provides great opportunities to interact with other users who have similar skill levels.

Analytical Tools & Techniques for Enabling Genome Discovery

This course is most appropriate for biologists familiar with GeneChip® expression and/or genotyping analysis who would like further information to help plan and perform successful experiments. Topics covered include: experimental design, PLIER normalization algorithm, ArrayAssist® Lite demonstration, update on NetAffx™ web tool, Intergrated Genome Browser (IGB), genotyping algorithms used for linkage/association studies, Chromosome Copy Number Analysis Tool (CNAT) and LOH analysis.

COST

The registration fee for the course is US $100 per participant. This fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments and all course materials.

PREPARATION AND PREREQUISITES
