Best Practices Blood Handling for Array Based Expression Working Group

Goal

Develop guidelines for use of blood in expression analysis. Address handling and stabilization questions through a series of longitudinal and variability studies, evaluate reproducibility, robustness comparing ficoll and other commercially available tubes/kits.

Purpose

To explore and address issues of blood handling, stabilization, and RNA extraction for use on arrays for expression profiling experiments with an emphasis on the development of recommendations useful with clinical samples.
