GeneChip Human MALD 3K SNP Kit
The Affymetrix GeneChip Human MALD 3K SNP Kit contains approximately 3,000 MALD SNPs in a single multiplexed assay.
Admixture mapping, or mapping by admixture linkage disequilibrium (MALD), provides a method for localizing genes that cause disease in an admixed ethnic population. It can be a powerful method for performing whole-genome linkage disequilibrium (LD)-based association scans. The Affymetrix GeneChip® Human MALD 3K SNP Kit contains approximately 3,000 MALD SNPs in a single multiplexed assay. These SNPs are designed for the study of diseases that differ in incidence between parental African and European populations. The Human MALD 3K SNP Kit data is generated using proven molecular inversion probe (MIP) technology in combination with Affymetrix Universal Tag Arrays, and scanned on a GeneChip® Scanner 3000 TG System.
